Nantucket is our home and it is important to for us to be active and volunteer our time in Town agencies and local non-profit organizations. Our island's greatest asset is our community and we are proud to be part of it. To show our support, Great Point Properties contributes one and a half percent of our total gross revenue every year to several of the great organizations that support and enrich Nantucket's year round community with a special emphasis on children's programs. To us, good business means giving back.
Working to make Nantucket a safe place for all of us. This organization works with victims and survivors of domestic violence. This largely volunteer group also works hard towards prevention through education.
A private co-educational day school serving students in pre-school through grade eight. The smaller school environment provides an alternative to Nantucket's public schools. AAN provides a variety creative outlets throughout the year. And works to cultivate the artistic talenst of our islands year round and summer residents.
Sports and Therapeutic Accessible Recreation (STAR ) program of Nantucket, where special-needs students work with therapists while participating in a sport. The program develops adaptive program for kids with profound special needs so they could participate in dance, martial arts, gymnastics, sports and art, and get one-on-one attention and coaching.
Since 1989, NAN has reached out to individuals in our community and provided educational opportunities to the community of Nantucket.
Offers a broad range of services on the island of Nantucket. They provide comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual care to persons with life threatening illness, and support to their families. Hospice Care of Nantucket are not limited to treatment of persons with terminal illness. In addition to these "traditional hospice services," they provide palliative & supportive care to island residents with any stage of any illness, even when they are pursuing aggressive, curative treatment.
The Nantucket Atheneum, a private non-profit organization provides public library service to the island's year-round and seasonal residents, housed in a historic 1847 building and the Weezie Library for Children.
Their aim is to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to their concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. Great Point Properties was a primary sponsor in this year's hugely successful Autism Speaks Walk.
With help from the Nantucket community, the Nantucket Food Pantry supplies free food year-round for those in need.
