April on Nantucket is when the season starts to bloom and restaurants begin to re-open their doors. The Island is prepping for its Annual Daffodil festival, a colorful event held the last weekend of the month. The Club Car expected to open in May, under new ownership, with Executive Chef Mayumi Hattori in the kitchen formerly of Straight Wharf.
Sandbar at Jetties Beach expected to open sometime in May.

New to the Nantucket Restaurant scene is Keeper’s, located Mid-Island, this unique neighborhood restaurant provides a casual, family friendly year-round dining experience. Their menu is a collaboration of owners, Sabrina Dawson (formerly of Fog Island Cafe) and Gaven Norton’s (ACK Surf School) favorite dishes. Guests are encouraged to create their own dining experience with Keepers unique “Pair & Share” philosophy. Some of the already popular dishes include the Keepers’ Smoked Wings and the Caribbean Shrimp Skewers. If you are a on island this weekend stop by and share a dish or two, open Monday through Sunday, 5:00pm – 9:00pm.

For craft cocktails and comfort food, Station 21 offers a twist on some of your favorite dishes. Whether you are looking for a small plates to share or a full course meal this in Town sister restaurant to Lola 41 has all that and more.
A local Mid-Island favorite, the Seagrille is known for its coastal creative cuisine and dining experience. What many don’t know is their bar not only serves up classic cocktails but some of the best bites on Island. With their 9 @ 9 special , $9 bar bites from 9pm – 10pm Fridays & Saturdays at both bars, it is a deal that cannot be missed. Sip on a martini while enjoying one of the many delicious menu items.
Open for their fourth season, Nautilus offers unique and vibrant small plates paired with speciality cocktails that are unlike anything you have ever tasted. The level of attention to detail in every dish and cocktail is evident.
