Experience June on Nantucket

As we kickoff the weekend with blue skies and sunshine, there is plenty to enjoy on Island this month. Whether you are visiting for the day, a long weekend, or opening up your home for the summer, June is one of the best months to experience Nantucket. We have put together some of our favorite things to do on Nantucket in June.

Take a walk, with the sun shining for the first time this week we love every opportunity to spend time outdoors. One of our favorite spots to walk, run or jog is Sanford Farm & Ram Pasture. We are lucky to have nearly 1/3 of Land on Nantucket dedicated to conservation land. Enjoy the the 6 mile Ocean Walk leads from the Parking area to the southern shoreline of the island and back.

Enjoy a night out on the Town, Nantucket Restaurant Week is June 5th – June 11th. Experience exceptional food, wine and Nantucket’s hospitality in many of the island’s acclaimed culinary establishments.

Participating Nantucket restaurants will be offering three – five course dinners from $35 to $45. It is the perfect opportunity to taste something new or to dine with an old favorite.

Beach reading season is right around the corner and The Nantucket Book Festival has you covered. Attend events and lectures from over 75 local and national Authors. Also get a sneak peak of which books your need to stock up for the season! Join the fun June 16th – June 18th.

Let’s go to the movies, June wraps the month with The Nantucket Film Festival. The 22nd edition of the Nantucket Film Festival will be held June 21-26, 2017!

The Nantucket Film Festival was founded by brother and sister team Jill and Jonathan Burkhart in 1996. The Burkharts lived on the island year round, and with their love of movies and the community, they knew it was the perfect place to begin a film festival. Today,  The Nantucket Film Festival has become one of the premiere destination film festivals in the world. Visitors come from all over to experience our preview screenings, signature programs, and stand out hospitality on a magical island rich with history, a friendly atmosphere, and beautiful sandy beaches.
