This vacation rental is a beautiful get away within walking distance (about twenty minutes by path or dirt road) of one of Nantucket Islands most beautiful and private South shore beaches. There is great surfing and fishing and swimming at the beach. It is one of the least traveled beaches on Nantucket even during the heart of the summer. It is a good idea to have a car but the bike path and the shuttle to town runs on the main road a mile from the house. The sunsets are spectacular.

Nicely furnished with modern and antique furniture and beautiful artwork . Chefs kitchen with Viking range and wood floor opens to living /dining room with seating for twelve at cherry dining table. South facing sundeck with grill is off the kitchen/dining area.A covered deck is off the living room and a nicely landscaped and very private yard with a rope hammock. There is also an outdoor shower on a small deck off the mudroom /laundry room which has a full size washer and dryer and separate sink.

What we like about Madequecham
Secluded and wild, Madequecham beach can be reached with a drive down dusty Bunker Road. The waves here are sometimes surf-able, other times gentle, and the bluff itself is high enough to act as a natural buffer against off-shore breezes.
