3 Cottage Avenue, Nantucket

3 Cottage Avenue is an adorable summer cottage, located within a small cluster of similar properties, originally part of the old Moby Dick Hotel. These cottages were sold off separately when the Moby Dick closed around 1980, and have rarely changed hands since, making #3 a rare offering in the heart of 'Sconset. With an OCEAN VIEW from the lovely little private garden, this is the perfect pied-a-terre for sweet summer getaways. All that 'Sconset has to offer is right at your fingertips!

From the front door, enter into a bright and cheerful cottage. To the right is a comfortable Living Room with a white painted shiplap cathedral ceiling and many windows. Off the living room is an efficiency Kitchen, with an apartment-sized propane stove, mini-fridge, and a microwave. Two closets flank the kitchen area, one on either side. Across from the front entrance is a Hall Bath with a pedestal sink and shower. To the Left of the entrance is a Bedroom with a closet, offering ample space for two twin beds or a King. The cottage has a great rental history as-is!

After study and work abroad in Fribourg, Switzerland, and Paros, Greece, Nicole graduated with a BA from Providence College with studies in both science and the humanities, and moved to Nantucket shortly thereafter.

Nicole began her real estate career on Nantucket in the early 90s, as the assistant to Lawrason Riggs, Jr., a wonderful mentor and a highly regarded professional in the field, quickly establishing herself as a successful Broker in her own right.

After taking the millennium to double-hand her 46 foot sloop through the Panama Canal and across the South Pacific to New Zealand, Nicole returned to Nantucket to launch a prominent island real estate firm.

In 2012, Nicole sold her partnership in that business to work independently, emphasizing the importance of her customized and personal attention.

Three years later, and with great pleasure, Nicole joined the energetic, friendly, and professional team at Great Point Properties. She combines her 25+ years of experience, and continued commitment to personal attention, with Great Point Properties’ broad presence in the marketplace to provide the highest level of service and market research available.

Her commitment extends well beyond real estate as the devoted mother of her two beloved high school-aged boys, Henry and Charlie.  When Nicole is not with clients, you can find her cheering from the sidelines at squash matches, at mark roundings in Saturday’s Yacht Club races, or challenging the boys to a tennis match or the occasional race “to the barn and back” with their playful dog, Buddy.  A passionate traveler, Nicole is committed to raising responsible and respectful citizens of the world.  She and her boys cross the country and globe for an annual travel adventure!

Born and raised in County Cork, Ireland, Leone Collins has lived on Nantucket since 2007 and has enjoyed a long career in the hospitality industry.

Leone began working in hotel management in Ireland. Moving to Boston in 1997, she continued her career with a series of management positions in premier downtown Boston Hotels, including the Fairmont Copley Plaza and the Sheraton Boston.

After visiting Nantucket for years, Leone decided to make the island a permanent home in 2007 where she first joined the Nantucket-born LightWedge and Great Point Light, a reading accessories company. 2010 brought her back to her roots in hospitality, when she welcomed a new career in real estate, which is the perfect amalgamation of her knowledge and love of the island, her interpersonal skills, her management experience and her attention to detail — all of which are now dedicated entirely to her clients as they embark on their journey to rent, buy or list their property for sale.

Leone, a dedicated outdoorsman and keen animal lover, and a member of the Nantucket Triathlon Club can usually be found enjoying the beautiful environment of Nantucket she now calls home.
