Explore Cisco!

Cisco Beach is located in a beautiful area of the island along the south shore and is characterized by a wide white beach and heavy surf popular with surfers. Nantucket wildlife is abundant on Cisco's beaches, especially during the winter months. It is a great place to walk your dogs in the off-season.

Cisco Attractions

Check out Cisco Brewery for live music and locally produced beer, wine, and liquor. Open daily, guests can enjoy live music, brewery tours, and grub from local food trucks like Lemon Press and The Lobster Trap. Pick up dinner and groceries at Bartlett’s Oceanside Farm, where the locally grown tomatoes and homemade treats are a staple of Nantucket. Just down the road is 167 Raw Fish Market, known for its fresh catch and raw bar, which can be enjoyed in their garden area ideal for summer dining. Pumpkin Pond Farm, an organic farm in Cisco, is also a must-visit attraction. The locally-owned farm offers fruits, vegetables, herbs, and more. Their nursery offers a wide variety of plants and succulents. Also in the Cisco neighborhood, find Nantucket Land Bank's Gardner Farm, a beautiful, 41-acre property with ample walking trails and incredible views. Purchased from the Garnder Family in 1995, this property has been naturally reseeded after being used as farmland in the nineteen hundreds. Abutting Hummock Pond, this trail is a favorite to enjoy golden hour walks with the pups and friends alike.

Cisco Beaches

Cisco Beach is home to some of the best waves on Nantucket, and notably, is one of the best surfing spots on the island. The beach is fairly accessible in season, with a sizeable dirt parking lot and bike/pedestrian access via the Hummock Pond bike path. There is a steep dropoff from the parking area to the beach, and a seasonal ramp provides access to the beach.

In season, Cisco is one of the most popular surf and swim destinations, and there are surf schools (like Nantucket Surf School and ACK Surf School) and food trucks (like Sushi Sean - we recommend the tuna poke bowl) to help you make the most of your beach day. Cisco Beach is also popular for fishing in the summer. At dawn and dusk, fishermen swarm to Cisco's shores for Striped Bass. You'll also catch some pretty amazing sunsets.

Cisco is one of our favorite areas on the island to enjoy all that Nantucket has to offer! Browse our rental inventory.
