On November 4, 2025, Nantucket will hold a Special Town Meeting to vote on two competing short-term rental (STR) zoning proposals. One proposal seeks to codify STRs as a primary permitted use island-wide, while the other proposes stricter limits on rental days and occupancy rotations.
