The area was settled as a fishing village in the 17th century at the eastern end of Nantucket, with homes dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Home to exclusive Sankaty Head Golf Club, with views out to the Atlantic and historic Sankaty Head Light House, it is considered a world class course. Sconset Village retains much of the charm and history from its past with the rose covered cottages. Sconset is a vibrant summer escape with dining such as The Chanticleer, Summer House, Claudette’s and Sconset Café. Sconset offers its own charm as much of the landscape as remained the same over the years.
