Five Questions With… Bobby Sabelhaus: 34 Brewster Road

Located in the neighborhood of Monomoy there’s a three-level, thoughtfully designed home with a pool, spa, firepit, and harbor views from the widow’s walk. 34 Brewster Road features multiple en suite bedrooms, primary suites on both the first and second floors, a spectacular chef’s kitchen, a finished lower level, and seamless connections between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The property is designed as much for relaxed summer days as it is for entertaining family and friends.

We sat down with Sales and Rental Agent, Bobby Sabelhaus, to talk about what makes 34 Brewster Road particularly well suited to Nantucket life. Here’s what he had to say…

1. What sets 34 Brewster Road apart from other luxury homes currently on the Nantucket market?

There’s a lot to love about 34 Brewster Road, but I think what really sets it apart is the combination of space, privacy, and all the amenities you’d want in a Nantucket home. You have nearly an acre in Monomoy, beautiful indoor and outdoor living spaces, a pool and spa, multiple primary suites, and even harbor views from the widow’s walk. It really gives you a little bit of everything.

2. The home has primary suites on both the first and second floors. How does that flexibility appeal to the type of buyer you see for a property like this?

I think the two primary suites are a really thoughtful feature. Whether you have multiple generations coming to stay, lots of family and friends visiting, or you simply want the option of having your bedroom on the first floor, the layout gives you plenty of flexibility. It’s one of those things that you might not realize you need until you have it!

3. How would you describe the experience of living and entertaining here?

The whole house really lends itself to indoor-outdoor living, which is such a big part of being on Nantucket. You can open up the living space onto the dining deck, head straight out to the pool, fire up the grill, and spend the afternoon outside without ever feeling disconnected from the house. Add in the firepit and Sonos system around the pool, and it’s pretty easy to picture a summer evening here with family and friends.

4. What makes the Monomoy location particularly special on the island?

Monomoy is one of those locations that gives you the best of both worlds. You feel tucked away and have plenty of privacy, but you’re still just a short distance from Town, the harbor, and some great beaches. You can have a quiet morning at home and be downtown enjoying everything Nantucket has to offer a little while later.

5. What are the most impressive features of this home?

The kitchen and the connection to the outdoor spaces are definitely a highlight for me. It’s a really impressive space for entertaining, with everything from the 60-inch Wolf range to the La Cornue rotisserie, and it flows so naturally into the living and dining areas. And then there’s the widow’s walk... the harbor views from up there are pretty special and definitely something you appreciate even more when you’re standing there in person.
