Meet the Interns

07/09/2024

Summer is in full swing, and we are excited to introduce you to this year's intern team! Whether you're at our Town or Sconset office, say hello to our amazing interns, here to make vacation rental season run as smoothly as possible.

Meet Tallulah:

Tallulah is back for her second summer at Great Point Properties and is a rising senior at Bucknell University. She is a double major in Political Science and Sociology and plays Division 1 field hockey.

We asked her a few questions about the island:

What's your favorite spot on Nantucket and why?

My favorite spot is Cisco Beach because it is a beautiful beach with big waves and even sometimes food trucks. It gets busy, but it is a fun spot to be.

What's the best way to spend a day on Nantucket for someone visiting for the first time?

The best way to spend a day on Nantucket is to wake up and go walk around town for a bit. See all of the stores and shop a bit. Eat an early lunch then head to the beach. Relax for most of the day then head over to Cisco Brewery to see the live band and get good drinks and snacks. After, go home to get ready for dinner at Millie's.

Your go-to Juice Bar order?

Cake Batter ice cream in a cup.

What 3 restaurants would you recommend a visitor should try?

I recommend Millies, Proprietors, and The Galley.

What are you most looking forward to doing on the island this summer? I am most looking forward to being able to relax on the beach and enjoy the nice weather and beautiful views.

Meet Ansley:

"Hi! My name is Ansley McKechnie, and I am from Laguna Beach, California. I am a rising junior at Loyola Marymount University, located in Los Angeles where I am majoring in Sociology. I am a former Division 1 athlete, as I was on the crew team for the past two years before our team, along with 5 other athletic teams, was cut. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, hanging out with friends, and spending quality time with my family. I am excited to be back on Nantucket for the rest of the summer!"

(Fun fact: Ansley is the niece of GPP principal Greg!)

Meet Jack:

Introducing Jack, who will be in our Sconset office for the summer! Jack comes from the Main Line area west of Philadelphia and has fond memories from the many summers he’s been coming to Nantucket since he was a kid. He enjoys sharing his passion for the island’s rich history, historic downtown, charming rose-covered cottages, serene landscapes, and pristine beaches with all of those who come to the island. Jack is currently studying business and innovation at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

What's your favorite spot on Nantucket and why?

My favorite spot on Nantucket is the Sconset Bluff Walk. With rose-covered cottages, a myriad of flowers, and ocean views, it’s really something that can’t be missed.

Your go-to Juice Bar order?

My go-to Juice Bar order is the Almond Joy ice cream.

What 3 restaurants would you recommend a visitor should try?

I can’t wait to enjoy some warm weather and sunshine this summer while taking my two Labradoodles to the beach.
