Nantucket School Vacation Week

Nantucket Winter Break, otherwise known as School Vacation Week, runs from February 28-March 4 for all Nantucket Public School kids. The island gets a little quieter, so what is there to do if you find yourself staying on the Grey Lady with your family for the week? Our team has rounded up a few of our favorite family-friendly winter activities!

• Catch a movie at the Dreamland! Click here for available dates and times. 

• Visit Nantucket Ice Rink for open skate time. 

• Sign up for Winter Vacation Camp at the Whaling Museum.

• From pottery to watercolors, sign up for a class through the Artist’s Association of Nantucket.

• Check out Maria Mitchell Association’s Vacation Week Explorers camp.

• Get outside and enjoy nature! Our favorite trails to explore are Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s Squam Swamp and Middle Moors. Bonus points if you stop by The Counter on Main Street afterward for a hot chocolate!
