After delaying the start date to book summer vehicle ferry reservations by two weeks due to website issues, the Steamship Authority opened reservations yesterday morning, with more than 10,000 people attempting to secure spots. According to the Current, as of 3pm Thursday, the Steamship had processed 7,800 transactions representing more than $4.2 million in revenue. That compares to 9,153 reservations on opening day in 2023, and the record of 9,499 transactions in 2022. We understand the car ferry process can be nothing short of frustrating.
