As the cold weather greets us, you might find yourself looking for activities to keep you entertained throughout the winter on Nantucket. There are plenty of small businesses and restaurants that offer special events for our community, so we pulled together a list of some of our favorites!

Monday

  • Throughout the month of January, head to Cisco Brewery on Monday nights for a free Comedy Night. The doors open at 4 pm, and the show will begin at 5:30 pm.

  • The Nantucket Atheneum is hosting a Tarot Class with Suzanne Keating on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm throughout January. In order to register for the class, please visit The Nantucket Atheneum's website.

  • Margarita Mondays are back at The Nantucket Tap Room, offering Mexican specials and the island's best margaritas all winter long.

Tuesday

  • The Charlie Noble is open all throughout the winter, putting on Taco Tuesdays with trivia at 6:30 pm. Get some friends together to enjoy some tacos and test your knowledge throughout the off-season.

Wednesday

  • Head to The Charlie Noble on Wednesday nights for pop-up dinner specials from Copper Tiki to satisfy your Chinese food cravings. Follow up with "cocktails and canvasses," Charlie Noble's paint night special happening throughout the Winter. Be sure to keep up with its Instagram, so you don't miss out on the fun!

  • The Nantucket Atheneum hosts Table Top Game Night and its Atheneum Knitting Group on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Check out The Atheneum's schedule of events on its website!

Thursday

  • Kick off the (almost) weekend at Cisco Brewery. Every Thursday night rally your friends for Cisco's trivia night with free entry and the chance to win up to $175 in prizes.

  • Head over to Miacomet Golf Course's delicious restaurant for the 2023 return of its burger night, starting January 26th. Each week the restaurant will feature a different burger specialty, so you can keep going back. Remember, reservations are required!

Saturday

  • On select Saturdays throughout the winter, The Nantucket Dreamland is hosting a special series of evenings featuring local DJ, Pete Ahern. The three-hour-long, live concerts, include a cash bar, photo booth, and more. Take advantage of this opportunity to get out of the house, have fun with some friends, and support a local business this winter. The shows are open to anyone 18 years old and older, and tickets must be purchased online.

  • Join the Nantucket Curling Club at Nantucket Ice on Saturday nights for recreational curling throughout the winter. This program is open to beginners, equipment is provided, and all are welcome. For more information, please follow the link here.

Sunday

  • Every Sunday afternoon, Nantucket Ice offers a Family Public Skate session, as rentals are available at the ice rink, this is a fun family activity for everyone. Head over to the rink or check out its website here for more information.

Other Events

  • The Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s Winter Walks are back, beginning in January 2023. Its community tours are free, welcoming all members of the community. To view specific dates and reserve a spot, please visit its website here.

  • The Nantucket Racquet Sports Association, located at 82 Hinsdale Road is open to the community for both Pickleball and Paddle Tennis throughout the winter. If you are interested in learning a new hobby, spending some time outside, and getting great exercise, head to the Nantucket Racquet Sports Association’s website to learn more and reserve a court!

  • The Egan Maritime Institute’s Shipwreck and Life Saving Museum are hosting “Shipwreck Showtime at the Museum” this winter, featuring a number of different marine-inspired movies with complimentary snacks and drinks.   • The Brotherhood of Thieves is offering a special happy hour menu every Monday-Friday from 3 to 6 pm, featuring some of the restaurant's favorites for a bargain, and snacks and appetizers unique to this special menu. Additionally, the Cisco Surf Bar offers live music every night, beginning at 8:30 pm.

  • Miacomet Golf Course has reopened its golf simulators for the winter, a great opportunity to stay sharp before getting back out on the course this spring. The golf simulator is open seven days a week, and reservations can be made by calling the Golf Shop.
