Stroll Weekend Holiday Gift Guide
12/02/2024
Christmas is just around the corner and many of our favorite island stores are opening back up for Nantucket's 50th Christmas Stroll Weekend. Wondering where to look for the perfect gift? Here are some favorites from our team, and it's a must to shop local. Let’s shop!
Women’s Gifts:
Liz Finlay’s go-to for clothes and accessories is Millie & Grace (2 Washington Street). Tip: they sell the cutest Christmas ornaments that make great stocking stuffers!
Check out Nomad (17 Centre Street) for clothes and home goods. Sam Parsons recommends the mad et LEN mineral tot blue and lava crystals for the perfect holiday scent in your home!
Lily Macdonald and Edona Jakaj recommend Murray’s Toggery as the one-stop shop for everyone in your family (check out the kid's room upstairs). Their new collection of women's activewear is now available to shop in the back of the store.
Rosha Kelly loves Bodega. They sell E Newton jewelry, the perfect affordable gift for all ages. (2 Candle St.)
Bill Liddle's first stop is always Patina for his wife and daughter. He's specifically on the hunt for their jewelry and candlesticks, a Nantucket staple. (23 Centre Street)
Gifts for the Home:
Caroline Curnow enjoys shopping at Nantucket Looms for soaps and candles, the perfect addition to any hostess gift. If you're looking for something more luxurious, their hand-woven blankets by Nantucket local, Becky Peraner, are a must. (51 Main Street)
GPP Intern Claire Genthner always shops at Andersons, where she finds Nantucket-branded glassware, great for friends and family who visit during the holidays and/or summer. (29 Main Street)
Gifts for the Family:
Greg Mckechnie's one-stop shop for the holidays is Haulover located at 7 Salem Street. Anticipating ski trips every winter, there's gear for the whole family from brands like Patagonia to North Face.
Ally Ulmer frequents Freedman's on 14 Centre Street for parents and in-laws. They make beautiful custom-made picture frames carved from stone, and no two frames are alike.
Happy shopping, Nantucket! For a full list of stores, check out our Island Directory.
