Nantucket summer in Brant Point

Brant Point

Upscale homes and sought after harbor views

Explore Brant Point!

Just slightly north of Town is Brant Point, one of the most desired areas on the island. It boasts stunning homes, picturesque views of the harbor, and classic island charm, making this idyllic area one to see while you are on island. Our office is also located here, at 1 North Beach Street. Stop by and say hi!

Brant Point Attractions

Brant Point Light is a lighthouse located on the north side of the island overlooking Nantucket Harbor. A great spot for fishing, photography, and watching the ferries come and go, it's one of the oldest lighthouses in the country and the oldest in Massachusetts. The station, which includes the Coast Guard, was established in 1746, automated in 1965, and is still in operation. The current tower was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 28, 1987.

There's a lot to explore in this bustling, conveniently located area, and the calm waters make it a great family-friendly adventure. Home to many iconic inns and hotels, the White Elephant Resort is located on Easton Street, featuring Brant Point Grill, which offers some of the finest dining on the island. It's also home to CORE, the only fitness boutique and pilates reformer studio in Brant Point. For wine, spirits, and quality snacks, visit Epernay (right next door to our office). They are open year-round and offer delivery.

If you're looking for a mid-day escape from the hustle and bustle of town, the Nantucket Conservation Foundation owns a piece of protected land conveniently in the area. A great place to bird watch, or enjoy a nature walk, there is a bird sanctuary located at 62 North Beach Street.

Brant Point Beaches

Brant Point Beach is a quick jaunt from town. Though technically a swimming beach, there is no lifeguard in season and heavy boat traffic. It's a popular wedding destination, with the lighthouse, harbor, and Coatue as your backdrop! You can also visit family-friendly Jetties Beach, which features calm waters, water rentals, and Sandbar - a bar and restaurant with live music in season that serves seafood and frozen drinks. There are a number of beach access points between Brant Point and Jetties, off of Hulbert Avenue, that are not frequently too busy, offering a peaceful and private beach day.
