The house and guest cottage are framed by a manicured lawn and gardens, and flanked on the right hand side with a pool and adjacent cabana. This is truly a perfect property for a family escape on Nantucket that offers ample and carefully curated space for both entertaining and relaxing with easy access to downtown as well as nearby beaches.
First Floor
Enter into a foyer with beautifully hand painted wall-paper and a wide staircase that leads to the second floor. To the left of the stairs there is a mudroom hallway complete with organized built-in cabinetry, laundry and a half bath that ends with a door to the side yard. As you walk through the main foyer, there is a unique cornflower blue lacquered wet-bar built underneath the staircase with a half fridge and ice maker. Behind the bar space, there is a door that leads into a cozy TV room with a large sectional sofa and a SONOS sound bar. The main room widens into an expansive open concept space with a dining room that can accommodate seating for up to 16. To the side of the dining table, there are french doors which open to an outdoor covered porch that includes a gas grill, outdoor kitchen area, large outdoor dinning table and comfortable conversational seating area (and electric heaters). Across from the dining area, the stunning state-of-the-art kitchen shares the room and features custom cabinets, a La Cornue gas stove and a large marble wrap around dining breakfast bar with seating for 8. Both the dining and kitchen area open up to an artfully decorated, window filled living room with two seating areas. One facing a gas fireplace and the other a Samsung Picture TV. The surrounding windows overlook the pool and meadow flowers beyond in the yard.
Second Floor
The second floor has four bedrooms, each of which are distinctively appointed with decor and have an en suite bathroom. There are two queen bedrooms, one twins bedroom and at the end of a light filled hallway of windows, there is the primary bedroom, which features a king bed. The king bedroom has a gas fireplace and high vaulted ceilings. There is also a laundry room on this floor with folding space for organizing clothes.
Third Floor
The third floor is a dream for kids, with four twin beds, a queen pull-out sofa, and large cozy window nook, perfect for snuggling up with a bedtime story. As the floor is entirely open, there is plenty of room for playtime and puzzles. The bathroom on this floor includes a combined tub and shower.
Cottage
The charming cottage is equally decorated and has an open living and dining area that includes a comfortable TV space, dining table for 6 and thoughtful touches like the rattan bar cart. There is a separate full kitchen and half bathroom. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one queen and one king room. These bedrooms share a bathroom. The patio space behind the cottage offers a perfect respite for guests staying there. A few steps away, the path winds around to a larger separate fire-pit space that faces the main house.
