On a high rise of land looking back across the harbor towards Town sits Pocomo, an inviting retreat off the road to Wauwinet. Aptly named by the Wampanoag’s as “a round fishing place,” Pocomo faces the shellfish-friendly waters of the upper harbor on two sides.
Located at the north-eastern point of Nantucket, Pocomo is known for its oysters, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. Since the tip of Pocomo Point is located on Nantucket Harbor, it is one of the best kite boarding destinations in North America. We love Next Level Watersports for kiteboarding lessons. Enjoy Pocomo Meadow Oysters at most Island restaurants.
